Dental Implants
Dental Implants
Dental implants are simply artificial teeth which are fixed at the jaw to function, look, and feel like usual teeth. It is possible to use implants to replace a single tooth which is missing, or teeth which is badly damaged. It is ideally used if you need full mouth reconstruction and when you have irritating and weird bridgework or partial dentures. We have so many positive comments from patients who have got their lives improved after dental implants. They can now speak, eat, and smile with confidence because their teeth are now beautiful, secure, and functional.
How it works?
Dental implants are made with sturdy and appealing material, titanium, which tolerates bone and adjusts well with your bone tissue. Dental implants are anchored well in a socket which is already drilled in the jaw bone to hold the crown, securing the denture well.
Do you really need implants?
At The Dentist, we will scan your teeth, bone density, and jaw structure and discuss whether you need dental implants and what you need before starting the procedure. We will ensure that we rehabilitate the nearby teeth and any existing gum disease before commencing implantation. You need to maintain proper oral hygiene and visit us for regular checkups for better results in the long term.
How long does the procedure lasts?
Usually, it takes up to 2 hours depending on the number of implants needed and complexity of the procedure. After implant, we let the titanium fixture/screw to fuse or weld with the nearby bone. It can take somewhere around 4-6 months. After getting the implant to the right level of fusion, we affix the dental crown over the implant to substitute the missing tooth or fill the gap.
